Project Brief
OurShaala is Jaaga's longest-running program, dedicated to fostering community-engaged art and design practices among students from diverse backgrounds. For OurShaala #11 in September 2024, Jaaga facilitated a collaboration between Mallya Aditi International School and Mathru School for the Deaf and Differently Abled. This week-long workshop provided a space for students from both schools to connect and co-create a vibrant wall mural featuring three distinct layers: mural painting, hand sculptures, and tech-art elements.
Program Planning & Ideation
The process of designing a week long program that was inclusive for deaf students included brainstorming processes and ideation on giving the Mathru school a wall which was not only aesthetic but also functional.
